Internet connects at The Nielson's

Its been forever since I have blogged and somehow I have survived. Crazy. Life has been super busy and really hot here in St George. We are all moved in to our house and we LOVE it. Hopefully we can start throwing some parties now. Here is some of what we have been up to....

Idaho with my fam for Memorial weekend. The boys all got haircuts from each other:)

My mom came from Michigan to spend time with all of us. This is my sister Valerie, me, Mom, and my brother's wife Brittany

Valerie getting ready for dinner. I love this picture! Cleaver and a smile. Not a good combo.

The kids sucked into one of their shows. Eva may or may not be picking her nose...

When we got our house Blake's biggest thing was The Basketball Court. Here he is in the hot garage putting together his masterpiece.

Blake's cousin got married in the Provo temple this weekend. I love going to the temple! As you can see Blake is keeping the same hairstyle, I still think he is adorable though

The beautiful Provo temple.

6 inches = Big change for Annie

Got a new hair cut and I love it! I like how Amber does before and after pictures and since this was drastic for me I definitely wanted to take pictures. I have always had long hair and didn't know how to do it but since my hair is curly I kept it long. I kept saying I was going to cut it but couldn't get the nerve to do it. Finally I got sick of it. I emailed Lashel a bunch of pictures for ideas and said do whatever you think is cute and she did awesome! When Blake saw me for the first time he liked it but said "I feel like a polygamist and you're my other wife" He just wasn't used to it yet and said I looked way different. The good part is I don't regret it...yet.

"Because you're not that guy"

My birthday is coming up (okay in like two months) and I may or may not have been dropping hints to Blake because he just needs a little nudge on special days:) Anyway it made me think of this commercial and am sooooo glad Blake isn't THAT guy!
(And no honey that wasn't a hint that I want diamonds don't worry.)

Our New House!

So I may or may not be more excited than all of you for this whole building a house process but I just want to show you where we drive every night. It is great how fast these guys work because every night there is something major different. Some of these pictures aren't the best I'm sorry. And p.s. I'm learning a lot about all this so my vocab may be quite off:)

Just the lot (hidden is the outline of the house where the footings are) It was really cool walking around on flat ground and say here is our kitchen, here is our bathroom.........

This one doesn't look too much different but you can see holes where they dug for the foundation

This is obviously night but there was actual rooms with walls! It was so cool! They even had our tubs inside.

This was today and that guy is just walking on our roof and putting up plywood:) I get so giddy every time we drive by.

RANDOM PICS!

My boss got tickets to Starry Starry Night at Tuacahn but forgot graduation for his son was that night so we got to go with some friends in their place to an awesome benefit for the Alzheimer's Association with dinner and then got to see Idol's in concert! It was fun to dress up for a fun date.

OK this one is way random but this year I'm attempting a garden and have been way excited UNTIL I found this as I was weeding and I pulled a weed and touched this bugger! He's camouflage! After that I said forget it, we're moving anyway. Needless to say our garden has a lot of weeds.

Playing catch up......

Its been so long since I've posted on here I have actually been avoiding it. So in a nut shell and with the help of pictures I'll show you what has been keeping us busy besides Blake starting school again. And lets just say our car has put on a lot of miles!

Blake wanted to buy the play station 3 with a bonus from work and I said whatever. But now I LOVE playing rock band! So we invite anyone who wants to rock out to come on over! Note that Blake got 100% on the easy level:)

Blake got another trip for us to go on and I love how hard he works to get us these awesome vacations. This one was a cruise to Mexico. Yes it was Ensenada but it was still fun! Blake loved being on land cuz he got sick on the boat. Guess that was our last cruise. Oh well.

Horse back riding on the beach! Amazing UNTIL we got bucked off the horse!! Turns out bargaining for your horse ride with a ten year old guide who speaks no english and being on the same horse was a very bad idea! We landed in the sand but I landed on my head and had a headache for about a week. Not so fun but we survived and got some cool pictures before we fell off.

My adorable neice in her cute blessing dress. We went to Idaho for my brothers baby to be blessed. It was great to see family and all my cute neices:)

My first sewing project! Well not the first but we'll just say my first successful sewing project. These are burp cloths for my other neice. Lots of new babies. But nope not having any btw. We decided after sunbeams we are waiting a long time before we have kids and leave it all to you guys. I'm so happy for all of you!

AND finally here is our lot where we just decided to put our house! We are so excited to have a place we can call our home!!!!

What do you get when your bishop comes to your house??

Well you either get a calling or you have to speak. Two Sundays ago Bishop came over and asked if we would accept a calling and teach the sunbeams in primary! Of course we said yes as we freaked out later. With good and anxious feelings. That day we went to church and sat in on the class to see how things work. And yes there are 7 of those stinkers. 7 three year olds. 7. Anyway its still sinking in. Last Sunday was our first time teaching and we had a few freak outs. This time not from us. And suckers were the answers. Thank goodness for the primary presidency (and I hear goldfish and tic tacs are amazing too.) Blake and I are stoked to be together all 3 hours of church now too. I always got sad when he walked to preisthood. I'm such a girl:)

So THEN this Tuesday bishop came over again! This time asking us if we would speak in sacrament. So thanks bishop for keeping us busy and in the good stuff.

P.S. we might need any insight on teaching a bunch of three year olds. We are a little inexperienced. So any advice please comment away!
